Entering week 10 in Denver, the Carolina Chaos were 4-4 and needed one win to clinch the playoffs. They got exactly that. Very early on, it was a close game, but things started to get out of hand quickly for the Chaos. Midway through the 1st quarter it was 2-2 but by the end of the quarter, it was 6-2 Outlaws. Partway through the second quarter, it was 8-2 Outlaws. All the Chaos could do was hope for a miracle. A miracle they got. The comeback started with 3 unanswered goals, making the score 8-5. They only let in one more goal in the half, making the halftime score 9-5 Outlaws. Still not looking great, but it was definitely getting closer. They started the 3rd quarter with 2 2-point goals, finally tying it up. They very much did not stop there. The Outlaws scored another, making it 10-9, but the Chaos responded quickly. After the 3rd quarter, the score was knotted up 10-10. The 4th quarter started off with a Chaos goal, making it 11-10. It was the first time they had a lead in that game since the score was 2-1. Some time passed, then the Chaos got another. It was a complete dagger of a goal. The score was 12-10 Chaos with less than 3 minutes left in the game. The Outlaws got one more goal, but there was only 11 seconds left. After being down 8-2, the Carolina Chaos somehow, some way, found a way to win the game and clinch a playoff berth. The effort of the Chaos was the definition of the phrase “Where there’s a will, there’s a way”.
